Process
Eight stages, no surprises.
Every project runs the same way. You always know what stage you’re at, what’s coming next, and what we need from you.
The eight stages
Discovery
We start by understanding the business rather than the brief. What it sells, who buys, what happens after an enquiry arrives, and what the site actually has to achieve. This is where most project problems get found, early and cheaply.
Strategy & structure
Sitemap, page structure and content plan. We agree what goes where and why before anyone opens a design tool, because structure problems are expensive to fix once they’re wearing a visual design.
Design
Wireframes, then full interface design at mobile, tablet and desktop, built against your real content. You review actual layouts, not a mood board.
Build
Hand-written themes on standard technology. Accessibility, performance and structured data are built in as we go rather than audited at the end.
Integration
CRM, payments, analytics, email and any third-party systems connected and tested, so the site works with the business rather than beside it.
Testing
Cross-browser and cross-device testing, accessibility checks, performance budgets and content proofing before anything goes near a live domain.
Launch
Migration, DNS, SSL and go-live, planned so there’s no downtime and a rollback is always available.
Care
Handover with full access and documentation, then ongoing support if you want it. No lock-in either way.
What we need from you
Projects run late for predictable reasons. These are usually them.
A decision-maker
One person who can approve work. Design by committee is the single most reliable way to make a project take twice as long.
Content, early
Copy, product data and photography. We can help produce it, but we need to know which at the start, not in week seven.
Access
Domain, hosting and any existing systems. Chasing credentials from a former developer is the most common cause of a delayed launch.
Let’s talk about your project
Tell us what you’re trying to build. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right studio for it.
